The Dallas Cowboys have an important game coming by Division rivals Philadelphia. With one game ahead of Dallas Eagles in the NFC East, and only one game back from New York for the Division lead, this is a game Dallas needs to win. But how do they manage to Michael Vick (notes)?
Their last meeting
The last time Dallas played Philadelphia was 12 DEC. 2010. The Cowboys were reeling and came into the game with a losing record just four WINS on the season. The Eagles won the game, but it was not an easy one, taking the victory, 30-27. The difference in the game were LeSean McCoy (notes), which ran for 149 yards, and
DeSean Jackson (notes), who caught four passes for 201 yards. Besides Jackson-meter only accounted for Vick
for 69 ran more yards passing in the game and only for 16 yards.
Philadelphia's 2011 season
This year, the Eagles were meant to be a good team. However, they get into the game with 2-4 record. Despite the losing record is their problem not on offense, but the armed forces. On the offense rank Eagles Nr. 1 in the NFL in rushing yards and no. 8 in passing yards. Vick has just two games over 300 yards passing this season, and has dropped fewer than 200 on two occasions. He has nine touchdowns and eight interceptions. LeSean McCoy is tearing it up again this season, with three games over 100 yards and six touchdowns. Jackson has had three good games this season, with his only big one against San Francisco.
Dallas ' 2011 season
Dallas Cowboys come into the game ranked No. 14 defensively against the pass and Nr. 1 against the run. Steven Jackson ran for 70 yards against Dallas on October 23, but no other players have run for more than 50. Mark Sanchez (notes), in the opening game of the season, it is
only quarterback to throw for more than 300 yards against the Cowboys defense. Sean Lee (notes) leads the team with 51 tackles and three
interceptions. DeMarcus Ware (notes) has eight sacks on the season, good for
second in the NFL.
Match up
This is not the same Dallas Cowboys team met with Philadelphia last season, and the Cowboys team almost beat them, Vick has not played as well as he did in 2010, and his interceptions are up. With Ware comes from all sides, and Lee set up ready to pick off any pass thrown Vick out, have some problems. The big match up in this game, however, the # 1 ranked rushing offense against No. 1 ranked rushing defense in the NFL.
